The Opportunity

Our client, a Canadian leader in pumps, filtration, and other process equipment, is experiencing tremendous growth in the province of Quebec. As a result, there is a fantastic opportunity for a Filter Sales Professional to concentrate continuing the sales momentum throughout the province. You will have diverse filtration application opportunities across a broad range of industries, including: Mining, Refining, Petrochemical, Municipal, Food and Beverage and Pharmaceutical. You will have a great time working for a supportive manager, at a progressive company with one of the best product lines available in the market. You will be treated as the dynamic, self motivated FILTRATION SALES Professional that your experience and track record warrants.

As the Pump Sales Professional your responsibilities and functions would include:

  • Build, manage, and enhance relationships with customers in the province of Quebec by:
    • Soliciting and developing new opportunities.
    • Selling filters and packages to broad Industrial and Municipal base, including projects.
    • Ongoing networking and meetings with the influencers and decision makers.
    • Be the educational lead for clients including ‘lunch and learns’, trade shows, and providing supporting technical information.
    • Providing excellence in customer service.
    • Social media strategies, joint and individual on-site sales calls and relationship building activities.
  • Actively communicate with team members, vendors, and suppliers to:
    • Support product selection application and quotes.
    • Oversee engineered bid proposals, including follow-up.
    • Provide product and package technical support.
  • Develop a business plan, sales forecasts, and support marketing strategies.
  • Working from a home office.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success of a minimum of 3 years selling filtration, pumps, or mechanical process equipment sales with a technical knowledge of fluid handling equipment in Quebec.
  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant filtration industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of a broad range of applications in Refining, Petrochemicals, Mining, Food and Beverage, Municipal and Pharmaceutical industries.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills, strong listening and clarification skills.
  • Focus on excellence in client service, equally, in both English and French.
  • Great negotiation skills.
  • Analytical skills to break down complex issues and solve problems.
  • Ability to teach and lead others is necessary.
  • Proven ability to be proactive and highly motivated, working with a dynamic team.
  • Well developed ability to make successful sales presentations at all levels of the clients’, equally, in both English and French.
  • Strong business, strategic planning, and account management skills.
  • Driven to succeed, with a positive attitude!

Compensation and Benefits

  • A base salary of $65,000 – $80,000 per year or more depending on experience.
