The Opportunity

Our Southeast client is currently recruiting for a Front Desk Administrator/Buyer to join their team for a 14 – 16 month maternity leave contract. This position is available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities and Functions

  • Greeting and directing visitors both in person and on the phone.
  • Providing general administrative support to the Edmonton team.
  • Ordering office supplies and scheduling courier services.
  • Receiving and editing purchase requisitions.
  • Maintaining the service center materials inventory.
  • Negotiating terms and pricing with vendors and maintaining approved vendor lists.
  • Completing purchasing of materials and supplies including mechanical and steel products.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience with procurement/materials buying.
  • 2+ years of general office administration experience.
  • Post secondary certificate or diploma would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast paced role.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay rate for this role is expected to be $20 – $27, based on experience and education.
