Please submit your resume directly to Katrina Keinhorst via email at or call Katrina Keinhorst directly at 604-695-2607.The OpportunityThe Class A Gasfitter/Service Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of Burner, Management Systems, as well as Preventive and Corrective Maintenance on Mechanical Systems.Key Account Responsibilities and FunctionsInspect and test operation of burner management systems to diagnose faults.Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts.Calibrate components and instrumentsPerform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reportsInstall control and measurement instruments on existing and new plant equipment and processes.Executes maintenance activities and stays current with applicable governmental regulations.May prepare work estimates for clients.Accept and respond to repair service calls.Take part in the regular on-call schedule and work according to the Divisional Guidelines for such work.Follow the Collective Agreement.Other duties and activities as appropriate and necessaryRequired Skills and QualificationsCompletion of Gasfitter (A) Trade Certification ProgramKnowledge and ability to work on B149.3 burner management systems requiredSupplementary trade qualification in a related tradeBending and lifting required – lifting up to 30 kgAbility to complete physically demanding tasksMember of either UA Local 170 or willing to joinAble to work overtime on short noticeValid Provincial Driver’s License – follow company vehicle policyAble to effectively communicate and comprehend both verbally and in writing (in English)Change OrientationCommunicates EffectivelyContinuous LearningCustomer FocusHolds Self and Others AccountableProblem Solving and InnovationTeamwork and CollaborationValues and Respects others
