Director – Commercial Property -Yellowknife

As the Director of BOMA BESt certified commercial properties in Yellowknife, you will be providing day-to-day financial and operational oversight and leading a top-notch leasing and operations management team. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Lead a team of twelve, including Property, Sales & Leasing and Operations Managers, Admin and Operations Staff. This includes other human resource functions, such as growth and development of staff, coaching, hiring and performance management.
  • Manage the operations and daily functions of the Yellowknife office.
  • Ensure timely preparation and accurate completion of operating, leasing and capital budgets.
  • Interpret and deliver the financial aspects of a property to provide the client with appropriate support in conjunction with the accounting team.
  • Ensures that Operations comply with current applicable laws by conducting site and unit inspections.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial property management experience with 5+ years of direct management experience.
  • Broker License or RPA designation would be considered an asset.
  • University degree or diploma would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and understanding of real estate law, finance, and accounting.
  • Continuing involvement with professional organizations such as BOMA, IREM, and ICSC.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Superior leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Available for travel, including overnight – approx. 20 – 30%
