Electrical/Automation Lead Engineer


The Opportunity


Our client is a thriving international manufacturer of consumable agriculture products. They are in need of a strong electrical engineer to lead the team at their manufacturing facility located ½ hour west of Regina.


Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Responsible for leading a team in the design, commissioning, implementation and maintenance of electrical, instrumentation and controls at site.
  • Coordinates project work and workflow throughout the E&A team
  • Acts as a key team leader in turnaround organization and execution
  • Integral in making investment decisions to ensure top line performance of E&A infrastructure
  • Works with plant operators and support engineers to ensure cooperation and consultation
  • Determines training needs and delivery methodology. Implements safety initiatives.
  • Maintains a high awareness of new technical trends, products, etc regarding E&A
  • Represents E&A group in management meetings

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Engineering degree in relevant discipline (electrical, instrumentation, or controls) (B.Sc. or M.Sc.).
  • Eligibility for Registration as a professional engineer in Saskatchewan.
  • 15+ years of design/operating experience in petrochemical distributed control systems and the design and engineering of control.
  • Knowledge and experience of capital, alteration, and hazard/operability programs.
