An Executive Secretary with Board Governance experience is required for a long term temporary role in central Edmonton. To succeed in this position you must have a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience as well as excellent communication and time management skills.

The Opportunity

Our client, a large regulatory body located in central Edmonton is in need of an experienced Executive Assistant for a long term temporary position.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Prepare agenda’s, meeting packages, and coordinate meeting logistics.
  • Take minutes at meetings, follow up on action items.
  • Maintain council and board members schedules and calendars.
  • Write, edit and process correspondence.
  • Maintain files and process manuals.
  • Respond to enquiries; referring to appropriate sources.
  • Conduct research on behalf of council and board members.
  • Other administrative and support tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of executive Board/Council support experience.
  • Advanced MS Office skill set.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, both in demeanor and appearance.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and troubleshoot.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, professional environment while juggling multiple time sensitive priorities.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Pay will commensurate with experience.
