Looking for a Graphic Design Coordinator who thrives in an “All Hands on Deck” environment for permanent opportunity

The Opportunity

My client, an events company, has an immediate need for a Coordinator with graphic design experience to join its team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives overseeing a broad range of responsibilities including managing multiple design projects, assisting on internal administrative needs, creating artwork using both new and existing graphics. The successful client will be accustomed to a blend of design and administrative opportunities, enjoys being client facing and have experience with large format design. Please note travel across Canada and the US may be needed for this role.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Work with office staff on creation and maintenance of internal marketing and administrative materials Web invoicing, product PO’s and assisting with RFP responses
  • Calculate materials & time needed to complete jobs
  • Work directly with show managers & exhibitors throughout design process
  • End to end design creating both new concepts and using existing client work for signage
  • Advise clients on design when using their own marketing materials and designs
  • Work closely with Creative Director, communicating status and approval for graphics
  • Internal design creation
  • Work in tandem with office staff, production staff, AutoCAD designers and subcontractors, ensure design and special instructions are understood and executed
  • Work on large event show site on larger to oversee delivery of resources, proper installation and ad hoc orders

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working in a administrative and design blended role
  • 3+ years graphic design experience with large format prints (tradeshow booths, posters, banners, etc)
  • Proven dedication to quality of work
  • Willingness to jump in and help wherever is needed in an administrative and design capacity
  • Strong facilitation/liaison skills as this person is a key contact with clients, management, subcontractors and production staff
  • Exceptional time management and multitasking skills, particularly during peak seasons
  • RIP, plotter, design and MS Office suite software.
  • Use of equipment: laminator, paper trimmer, large format printers, production press
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Reliable transportation, personal vehicle preferred

Compensation and Benefits

  • Up to $50,000 (depending on experience)
