The Opportunity


Our client is looking for an independent, proactive and results-oriented Health and Safety Manager with strong local experience for their Vancouver area plant operations.


Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Implement and support all H & S programs.
  • Commitment to continuing improvement regarding compliance planning for current and emerging safety regulatory requirements at all levels.
  • Monitor and report facility H & S performance.
  • Ensure compliance requirements are met through implementation of guidelines, completion of required training and monitoring compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in OHS.
  • 5 + years of relevant safety experience.
  • CRSP designation required (or pursuing).
  • Experience and competence in developing and implementing safety programs.
  • Ability to form, facilitate and maintain internal and cross functional teams.
  • Strong claims management experience.
  • Proven coaching and teaching abilities.
  • Some travel will be required.
