Are you a Journeyperson HVAC Mechanic? Are you looking for a contract opportunity that has a strong chance of going perm?

The Opportunity

Our Fort McMurray client is looking for a Journeyperson HVAC Mechanic for a 7/7 rotation. Must be able to pass a comprehensive D & A test in addition to audiometric and physical abilities testing. Travel hubs are Edmonton and Calgary.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Install, repair and maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and components.
  • Complete routine generated work order requests for repairs and services.
  • Perform all required preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and components.
  • Actively participate in the shop safety program and maintain strict adherence to OH&S guidelines


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Alberta Certified Journeyman or Interprovincial Red Seal in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade in good standing.
  • Alberta Gasfitter “A” or “B” Ticket is an asset.
  • Valid class 5 Driver’s License..
  • Must be able to work from heights or confined spaces.
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks and sensitive to issues of confidentiality and compliance.
  • Ability to complete all work in compliance with Alberta legislation, regulations and site policies and procedures.
  • Proven ability to work in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Position involves extensive walking, climbing and awkward positions as well as carrying of heavy materials. Candidates must be physically fit to perform these duties.
  • Oil Burner experience is considered an asset.


Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Comprehensive Drug, Alcohol, Audiometric, and Physical Abilities pre-employment tests.
  • CSTS and OSSA certificates or OSSA BSO certificate.
  • Class 5 License with a clean five-year driver’s abstract (obtained within 30 days).
  • Applicants cannot have any existing site restrictions.
  • Willingness to remain clean shaven.


Compensation and Benefits

  • $47.20 per hour and benefits after 3 months.
