The Opportunity


Our growing client is seeking a Logistics Coordinator who can manage multiple projects, oversee the transportation and distribution flow, and provide outstanding customer service with all stakeholders. The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the preparation and tracking of customer orders and shipments from their warehouses located in the U.S.


Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Manage inventory management and reporting for accuracy; using FIFO methods to keep inventory current.
  • Respond to customer inquiries as required.
  • Create packing list, purchase orders, and invoice for shipments.
  • Enter purchase orders and invoices into SAGE and QuickBooks, or required accounting program.
  • Correspond with warehouse staff daily.
  • Book orders with carriers.
  • Coordinate pick-up orders for customers and communicate with customers to ensure receipt is accurate.
  • Track shipments and communicate with carriers to ensure deliveries are on schedule.
  • Notify appropriate personnel when inbound shipments are short or there are damages to the product.
  • Manage disposal of damaged bags.
  • Maintain Logistics Procedures Manual.
  • Complete special projects or other duties as may be required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Management or Office Administration is required.
  • P. Log and/or CITT designation is considered an asset.
  • SCMA designation is preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in supply chain.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to provide clear directions, complete follow up and reporting.
  • Strong Microsoft office; including excel, word, outlook.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of SAGE, QuickBooks, or accounting programs is considered an asset.
  • Travel and valid driver’s license required.
  • Criminal record check is required.
