Are you a Maintenance Manager with 10+ years’ experience in a chemical continuous process operation? Are you looking to be involved with leading, developing, and implementing mechanical reliability strategies in the maintenance function? If so, then read on!!


The Opportunity


Our client is seeking a Maintenance Manager (Mechanical) for their Slave Lake plant. The maintenance manager will be responsible for the overall mechanical reliability and maintenance of the plant. The Maintenance Manager will have a strong experience with chemical plant operations.


Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Lead and supervise all plant maintenance employees and contractors.
  • Create and deliver plant health monitoring, plant best practices, and maintenance of KPI’s.
  • Provide input to capital projects and guidance into process design plans.
  • Liaison to all stakeholders involved with the Capital Projects.
  • Conduct project scope to ensure methods, estimate accuracy, and materials are utilized appropriately.
  • Oversee all trade skills certification and compliance programs; including, welding QA/QC.
  • Create predictive/preventative maintenance programs.
  • Develop documentation, equipment history, and spare parts strategy.
  • Maintain high level of safety standards at all times.
  • Provide exceptional environmental leadership.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in a chemical continuous process operation.
  • A professional designated Mechanical Engineer (P. Eng).
  • Experience in solids handling experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience with environmental aspects of industrial plant operation, treatment and disposal.
  • Ability to work in Slave Lake Monday to Friday.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
