Fantastic opportunity for a part-time production accountant with a growing company!

The Opportunity

Our client, a small oil and gas services company, is looking for a Production Accountant to join their team on a part-time basis! This role has potential to become full-time as things ramp up with the company!

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Book revenue, royalties, and fees
  • Conduct daily and monthly full cycle oil & gas allocations, complete equalization adjustments
  • Input of production accounting information
  • Process large complex amendments/equalization adjustments
  • Process accruals, prior period adjustments, and month-end settlements
  • Perform all functions related to the application of rates and prices for company revenue transactions and issues associated invoices adhering to client requirements
  • Monitor and resolve working interest discrepancies and changes
  • Assist with reconciliation of oil and gas property accounts
  • Enter and process accounts payable, and ensure paid in a timely manner
  • File and scan working documents and maintain JV files.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
  • 5+ years’ experience working with oil and gas company
  • Familiar with Alberta legal compliance and laws
  • Familiar with Pandell Software preferred
  • CAPPA (Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accountants) certificate an asset

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary is between $27.00 – $31.00 depending on education and experiance
