A goal-oriented Production Supervisor needed for our client’s busy industrial plant.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor will lead and direct the production team. The successful Production Supervisor will possess a hands-on approach to training and directing staff and will have accountability to bottom line results. Plant location is in Langley.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Maintain production schedule in order to effectively meet production goals, quality standards and incentive expectations.
  • Respond to any service or customer request with a sense of urgency.
  • Ensure production schedule is maintained in order to effectively deliver a quality and on-time product to customers.
  • Monitor and ensure that all equipment is in good working order and in compliance.
  • Create and manage a safe work environment.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control.
  • Prepare and complete all purchase orders for review and approval.
  • Monitor the loading and unloading of trucks to ensure perfectly loaded trucks.
  • Recruit, hire, train, mentor and develop staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 – 5 years of production supervision experience.
  • Strong ability to manage a team toward high productivity.
  • Some physical requirements including but not limited to lifting, bending, and stretching.
  • Shift work environment.
  • Proven success in a KPI driven environment.
