The Opportunity
Our client has been awarded a substantial healthcare facility renovation project in Edmonton and is seeking a strong Project Manager to run it!

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Oversee and direct project construction management by communicating directly with all parties involved.
  • Prepare project status reports and work to ensure the execution of the project adheres to contract plans and specifications.
  • Develop the project requirements, cost estimates, project plan, and budget.
  • Monitor, control and report on progress, costs and budget throughout the project.
  • Resolve disputes, negotiate change orders, and communicate decisions to owners, sub-contractors and management personnel.
  • Provide work direction and coaching to assigned field engineering and project staff.
  • Provides performance feedback to project staff and/or sub-trades.
  • Assist management team to develop project tracking systems and criteria to benchmark and measure project performance.
  • Communicate and enforce company safety standards and operating practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent track record of effectively managing large Healthcare or Institutional renovation projects required.
  • Construction Engineering Diploma (CET) or related Engineering Degree is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with mould and asbestos related projects is preferred.
  • LEED certification is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
