The Opportunity

One of the best valve companies is looking warehouse person on the south-side. Whether you  have 5 plus years of experience in valves or you have a fantastic and positive attitude, they are looking to develop you. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Safely receive and inspect incoming inventory and material transfers from outside locations.
  • Safely pick orders per pick ticket with an error rate of less than 1%.
  • Ensure inventory is organized per bin locations and kept free of dust, dirt, water, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times, appropriate to on site customer visits without notice. (Floors swept, suitable portion of inventory removed from crates for ease of picking and display purposes, no loose pallets/crates or debris on the floor, etc.)
  • Performs 100% visual inspection of all outgoing product including but not limited to: ensure each flanged ball valve is shipped in the full open position and that each flanged gate valve is shipped in the fully closed position, each valve must be free of water, dirt, sand, etc., serial numbers and heat numbers are accurately recorded on the pick ticket, handle(s) are present and correct, paint damage is repaired, tagging is correct and effectively attached, gear operators are working effectively, flanges are visually inspected for any obvious damages such as nicks and scratches, and flange covers are properly applied.
  • Ensures that purchase orders from the region are effectively executed.
  • Operates company equipment (forklift, hand jack, test equipment, etc) and cares for company property in a safe and respectful manner.
  • Identifies & communicates safety issues to immediate Supervisor with recommendations for improvement.
  • Maintain a drug and alcohol free environment at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of valve (or related) warehouse operation experience.
  • A strong desire and ambition.
  • Must have proven track record with great references.
  • Must have good working competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
