Contract Credit and Collections Analyst

The Opportunity

Our client in downtown Calgary is looking for a contract Credit and Collections Analyst to join their team!


Key Account Responsibilities and Functions
.

  • Manage a client portfolio as it relates to risk assessments, while supporting the company’s revenue targets.
  • Support the credit manager with collection activity of high profile accounts that represents large revenue opportunities, specifically over a large dollar value.
  • Recommend and obtain various financial security documents that will assist with risk mitigation activities.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders on the performance and risk profile of large account receivables balances.
  • Recommend credit and legal action on delinquent accounts.
  • Working knowledge of credit principles, practices and procedures, as well as legal governances pertaining to credit.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on telephone interactions as well as interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong ability to influence without authority and good negotiating skills.
  • Strong aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret financial information.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 3 to 5 year’s experience in credit/collections.
  • Proven track record of collections success.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong focus on Customer Service.
