Our highly respected client is searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk on a contract basis that has the potential to turn permanent.

The Opportunity

The Accounts Payable Clerk, reporting to the Director of Finance, will provide accurate and timely entry of all payables monthly. The role has full cycle AP responsibilities including maintaining filing records as well as other administrative duties. This is the perfect role for someone looking to be part of a larger organization.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Responsible for authorizing, processing and reconciling invoices.
  • Analyze and participate into resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies with proper documentation.
  • Assist the Controller & Accounting department in other ad hoc responsibilities.
  • Perform some clerical duties such as maintaining record systems, faxing, and photocopying.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary education in accounting is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Sage 300 would be considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 4 year of experience with accounts payable is required.
  • Knowledge of accepted accounting rules, practices, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
