Position Title: Compliance Manager
Position Description:

  • Review and manage a large book of commercial client accounts
  • Review manage and ensure collections of all outstanding loans each month
  • In collaboration with the management team, determine which loans will require follow-up.
  • Monitor all loan “Sites” through accounting as well as in person site visits.
  • Manage the Credit, collections activities to ensure vendors aged reporting is kept at manageable levels for the organization
  • Document and report any problems or issues. Understand when escalations are necessary, re insolvency, receivership etc.
  • Manage and oversee the monthly or quarterly visits to each site throughout Western Canada.
  • Follow up on and negotiate terms of payment with customers, for any late Interest payments or outstanding Interest payments.
  • Skillfully collect postdated cheques and payments where necessary.
  • Assist on problem accounts that require monthly monitoring collaborating with the internal team for additional recommendations for strategy improvement.
  • Attend Monthly budget meetings with borrowers to keep up to date on construction, progress reports, sales or maintenance needs based, on the status of the loan.
  • Follow up and consult with new borrowers on initial document gathering, audit and review.
  • Manage any loans under bankruptcy to ensure streamlining of document and asset control.
  • Oversee accounts and make recommendations for all late stage asset recovery and collection as necessary.

Required Qualifications:

  • You enjoy working collectively for clients, while having a strong grasp of loans in terms of accounting and finance
  • Have completed a Business Diploma, Degree, Accounting Certificate or similar certification.
  • Bring 5-10 years of credit, collections and financing experience with commercial or corporate clients.
  • You are highly organized, composed and can switch gears and think on your feet quickly.
  • You enjoy managing multiple projects, can engage easily in conversations around payments and payment terms while keeping the relationship.
  • You are a self starter, highly dependable, accountable and enjoy learning new things, and you can learn them quickly.
  • You’re confident, persuasive and direct communicator.
  • Highly solutions focused. Keeps a high-level overview of accounts, while working through problems, and producing on collections activities.
  • Detail oriented, exacting and investigative nature.
  • You stay focused and nothing falls through the cracks on your watch and complete tasks thoroughly.
  • You communicate clearly. You’re a good listener. You can explain just about anything to anyone and your comfortable communicating via email, phone or in person.

Salary range: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 per annum
Benefits:

  • You are willing to travel throughout Western Canada up to 50% of the time.
  • Salary range $80,000-$100,000 plus travel expenses.
