Our well established south side Edmonton client is currently looking for a Cost Accounting Manager. The successful incumbent will report directly to the Controller and work closely with the General Manager. The candidate will oversee the full cycle accounting process, as well as all monthly and quarterly reporting duties. We are looking for an accounting professional with a manufacturing background who is dedicated to supporting the continued growth and development of this dynamic team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Monthly, Quarterly and annual financial reporting.
  • Financial analysis, costing, forecasting, budgeting, cash flows and inventory.
  • Work closely with the corporate controller out of the US.
  • Management/oversee of day to day full cycle accounts payable and receivable.
  • Review and manage expense reporting.
  • Manage month end processes and provide reporting to head office.
  • Oversee journal entries and general ledger.
  • Collaborate daily with operations group and GM.
  • Provide excellent support, leadership and guidance.


  • 5 years of progressive full cycle accounting and cost accounting.
  • Post secondary education in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Accounting Designation is considered an asset.
  • Manufacturing and cost accounting experience necessary.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • MS Dynamics experience preferred and considered an asset.
  • Highly organized, diligent and able to thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of excellent collaboration, communication and team work with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel yearly or quarterly to the US.
