Are Job Candidates Honest?

Hiring manager use interviews and resumes to assess the suitability of a candidate for a position and traditionally, reliability and honesty.  However, research has shown that many candidates are less than honest about their experience and qualifications.

–30% of Candidates provide false employment history: dates, exaggerated history, lie about reasons for leaving or fabricate employment history.

–10% of candidates exaggerate their educational claims: claim honours, double majors, alter majors or never graduated or went to a specific school.
