Hiring Expectations Drop in Back-Half of 2012

Jul 09, 2012

In 2011, 44% of employers identified that they would be hiring in the second half of the year.  That number has dropped to 40% for the back half of 2012.  This is a country wide result and non-industry specific.  22% of Employers plan to hire part-time workers and 26% contract or temporary.  While we see the Canadian economy expanding, there are global and national factors creating some softness in hiring expectations.
