Latest Unemployment Figures

The latest unemployment figures released by StatsCan show a slight strengthening in Canada’s unemployment position moving form an unemployment rate of 7.1% where it has held steady for several months to 6.9%.  This is the first time in over three years the national unemployment number has broken below 7%.  BC and Saskatchewan held steady while Alberta made a significant jump from 4.8% to 4.3% unemployment, anything below 5% is considered full employment.
