Our client, a leader in the field of Construction Insulation, is seeking an experienced estimator to join their team in Edmonton!

The Opportunity
Perform initial specification interpretation, take-off of quantities from drawing, and determine how to prepare cost estimates on assigned projects.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Perform & summarize take-offs.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings & pre-award clarification meetings.
  • Review & evaluate project specifications to determine proper materials, applications & scope.
  • Summarize take-off and note job conditions that may affect labor productivity.
  • Formulate final pricing and submit for final review.
  • Formulate project schedules when dictated by specification or company policy.
  • Assist the Sales Representative with the preparation of the bid proposal.
  • Contribute to Process Improvements where required
  • Assist in the timely submission of all proposals on projects that you have been assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Commercial Insulation estimating strongly preferred.
  • Related post-secondary education is considered an asset (CET etc)
  • Ability to interpret drawings & plans is required
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.
