The Opportunity

Our client, a manufacturer of forest products is a seeking a strong Finishing End Superintendent. They are looking for a clear and concise leader, who will develop and grow their team. The Finishing End Superintendent must possess a strong background in lumber manufacturing and experience in a planer mill setting. The Finishing End Superintendent will be responsible for the management of all finishing-end processes, including: planer mill, shipping, kilns, and planer maintenance. They must ensure all performance objectives are met, and delegate tasks to employee’s in a supportive and motivating manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have strong supervisory experience, and outstanding leadership capabilities.
  • Strong background in lumber manufacturing and experience in a planer mill setting is required.
  • Must have strong technical knowledge and analytical ability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with SAP or similar computerized maintenance systems is required.
