The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Lead Service Technician with a background hydraulic, automation, industrial, and mobile applications in shop and field service. The Lead Service Technician will be client facing and drive the electrical automation side of the business. 

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Strip and inspect components for both repair and warranty considerations.
  • Assess and report on the condition of the units and formulate a hypothesis as to possible cause of failure.
  • Perform repairs and test products as required using the procedures and specifications provided.
  • Trouble shooting and commissioning of systems in the field and workshop.
  • Assist others in department when and where required.
  • Ensure all service related HSE and environmental KPI’s are met.
  • Give direction and training to other technicians to ensure available labor is used efficiently.
  • Assist operations manager in continuous improvement of service related activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in Electrification of Hydraulics.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of shop and field service; hydraulic, automation, industrial, and mobile applications.
  • Diploma in Fluid Power or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • System Electro Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communications and customer service skills.
  • Good level of IT skills required, MS Office and SAP preferred.
  • Availability to work overtime when necessary to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Availability to work away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time as required.
