Fantastic Opportunity for an Audio Test Specialist

The Opportunity

Are you interested in being part of a team that develops cutting edge audio communication technology? Our client offers the opportunity to bring your extensive lab experience and create innovative testing methods to navigate through the challenges of audio product development. If you want your designs to be a part of dynamic audio products, then this is the job for you.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Determine audio test strategies that fit timelines, budgets and market requirements.
  • Use both practical and theoretical audio knowledge to theorize and develop tests using audio measurement equipment.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the development team to ensure that the hardware and firmware will meet target requirements.
  • Support post launch products through certification efforts and investigation of field issues.
  • Maintain test records and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary to graduate level education in acoustic science, engineering or related.
  • 5+ years with equipment evaluation, measurement and analysis.
  • Must have experience with audio measurements, specifically to determine if audio equipment is meeting a published standard.
  • Audio processing knowledge regarding Noise Suppression and Echo Cancellation in a lab setting.
  • Strong computer literacy required and experience using audio test automation.
  • Knowledge of audio software (Audacity, Reaper) considered an asset.
