Our client is looking for a strong Manufacturing Manager to join their Edmonton team!

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Responsible for the planning and designing of all manufacturing projects.
  • Lead the development of the department including: assembly lines set-up and ensuring training is provided to ensure the highest quality and productivity.
  • Coordinates and directs projects, project staff and sets goals, budgets and timelines for active projects.
  • Design product assembly lines with Production coordinators.
  • Oversee strict adherence to Alberta OHS guidelines.
  • Liaison between engineering and production on all projects.
  • Lead construction kick-off planning.
  • Manage production coordinators and give direction on day to day projects.
  • Work with QC department on implementation of standard work.
  • Act as project manager on larger engineering/production projects.
  • Manage a small drafting team in manufacturing engineering department.
  • Ensure projects are manufactured in accordance with, Request for Proposal (RFP), engineering specifications and contracting procedures.
  • Monitor progress against project schedules; recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals.
  • Provides technical oversight and coordination of project engineering work; through project coordination meetings and other means.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Professional Engineering Degree, (P.Eng.)
  • 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of Leadership experience.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing Principals.
  • Experience in an assembly line-type environment with variable product offerings.
