Our client is currently under exposed in Northern Alberta and they want you to change that. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Business and network development with Distribution channels including: Distributors, EPCs, OEMs and End Users targeting the Oil and Gas community in Northern Alberta.
  • Identify, qualify and secure sales opportunities, and ultimately closing sales with an emphasis on Valves and Valve packages.
  • Provide insight into new product development and marketing possibilities.
  • Negotiate distribution and project contracts.
  • Excellent client follow-up and follow through, throughout the project cycle.
  • Supports on going training for team members both internal and external.
  • Quote pricing for projects and day-to-day business.
  • Actively involved in strategic planning, including annual sales planning with regular follow-up and bench marking.
  • Coordinate in partnership with Marketing Manager: trade shows, conferences, advertisements and sales literature.
  • Work efficiently with the inside sales team and other internal partners to create excellence in the client experience to build close and profitable relationships.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years track record successfully selling Valves to the Oil & Gas and Industrial markets within Northern Alberta.
  • A mechanical engineering degree or diploma and/or extensive technical experience with valves and packages.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve customer issues in a variety of complex situations, without supervision.
  • Consistently exceeding sales budget because a tenacious winning attitude couple with polished sales skills which includes a focused, targeted and organized sales process.
  • Proven technical experience in quoting, application/selection, marketing, or engineering of Valves and Valve packages.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Dynamic relational skills at all levels both internal and external.

Compensation and Benefits

  • A base salary of $80,000-$100,000 or more commensurate with experience and past production.
  • Strong sales incentive that could be an addition $20k-40k or more.
  • Great benefit package with RRSP matching.
  • Generous vehicle allowance and expenses.
