Great Contract Opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in SE Calgary!

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk for a contract in a fast paced environment! If you are looking to gain more experience and grow within your field this is the opportunity for you!
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • High volume of matching, batching and coding of vendor invoices
  • Address customers concerns and complaints
  • Entering a variety of accounts payable invoices in a prompt and accurate manner
  • Maintain filing and record systems
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Process cheques bi-weekly which entails arranging and attaching necessary documentation, delivering internal cheques to colleagues and printing debit notes.
  • File and make copies of accounts payable invoices
  • Reconciles accounts payable at month end
  • Any other duties as decided by the employer

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Accounting degree or diploma considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Simply Accounting and excel experience
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Personable and charismatic
  • Ability to work well independently and in a team

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary for this role will be between $17-$21 per hour, depending on education and experience.
