The Opportunity
Our client, a ministry within the provincial government, requires an experienced Senior Administrative Assistant/Administrative Support 5 to join their downtown Edmonton office for a 3-month temporary position. Your main focus of this position will be providing high level support to the Director along with additional staff on all day to day activities within the branch. 

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Creating, editing and proofreading documents and reports.
  • Calendar management and event planning.
  • Scheduling meetings & extensive note taking.
  • Arranging travel and accommodations.
  • Updating and maintaining multiple spreadsheets.
  • Liaising with external staff regarding contracts, grants and RFI’s.
  • Assistance with documents relating to budget and forecasting.
  • Other administrative tasks as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience providing senior level support.
  • Experience working within the provincial government a strong asset.
  • Experience with government related programs such as IMAGIS, ARTS, EPS, ExClaim, and MyAgent.
  • Advanced MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Professional, confident self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Post secondary education is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

  • This position will pay an hourly rate and will commensurate with experience
