Billings and Invoicing Team Lead

The Opportunity

Our client in SW Calgary is looking for an Billings and Invoicing Team Lead to join their growing team!

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Processing of full cycle accounts receivable;
  • Manage and oversee a team of 3 staff;
  • Track payments and monthly outstanding account balances for all existing clientele and ensure month-end deadlines are met
  • Independent reparation of draft invoices;
  • Receiving and sorting incoming payments;
  • Regular collection efforts on overdue accounts in accordance with company collections policy and in conjunction with internal personnel;
  • Managing the status of accounts and balances timely client communication to ensure outstanding balances are acknowledged;
  • Management and resolution of delinquent accounts receivable;
  • Ensuring data is available and appropriately maintained;
  • Preparing project focused reports as requested;
  • Follow up with clients on outstanding invoices and responding to third party invoice inquiries;
  • Data entry into multiple accounting databases;
  • Providing accounts receivable support for operational and financial projects;
  • Other duties relating to the day to day operations.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Experience managing or mentoring a small team;
  • Able to work independently;
  • Experience with QuickBooks is an asset;
  • Extremely detail oriented;
  • Strong time management, organizational and team skills;
  • Strong multi-tasking skills with an ability to prioritize work and effectively meet deadlines;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
