The Opportunity

This role will be an trusted partner with the senior executive and ownership group quickly. The successful incumbent must have a Professional Accounting designation and at least 5 years of Post Designated experience. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Provide strategic financial oversight and direction.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements complete with cash flow forecasting and variance analysis.
  • Assist in the development and attainment of annual corporate accounting objectives.
  • Coordinate annual budget process.
  • Handle all aspects of team management, supervision, development and performance.
  • Knowledge of foreign currency transactions and translation of financial statements.
  • Collaborate with various external parties such as our clients external accounting & legal firms, and other federal & provincial regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee inventory tracking and annual revaluations to reflect market changes.
  • Manage SRED claim compilation and filing.
  • Spearhead the creation and improvement of accounting policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of post-designation work experience at a management level combined with experience within the O&G manufacturing/service industries.
  • Preference given to candidates with exposure to international sales and/or in a manufacturing environment, whom have a thorough understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise. Extensive experience working in a medium sized private company environment will be considered an asset.

Must demonstrate the following competencies:

  • An entrepreneurial mindset combined with excellent leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, both internal and external.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as a proven track record of building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Highly skilled at mediation and conflict resolution.
  • Advanced Excel skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • A comprehensive benefits package will be provided for the successful incumbent, with an accompanying salary between $110,000 and $130,000 to commence.
