Corporate Facilities Technician
The Opportunity

Our client (located downtown) is looking for an Corporate Facilities technician to join them for a 10 month contract. THIS POSITION CLOSES FRIDAY NOVEMBER 4th
This individual will assist the Team Lead of Corporate Facilities in ensuring all Corporate AutoCAD drawings of Office Space are current. The successful candidate may coordinate with the Daily Operations team on furniture removal/installation for floor renovations, as well as preliminary design work on floor renovations, including meeting with business units to confirm their requirements.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

Assist with ensuring Corporate ‘as-built’ AutoCAD drawings are current
Creating, where necessary, ‘as-built’ drawings of new leased space including evacuation plans
Conduct quality assurance on all information to be input into the upgraded CAFM (Computer Assisted Facilities Management) system
Assist with coordination of construction projects with various trades people, engineers and designers
Assist with preliminary space plan, including furniture placement for construction projects based on business units’ requirements and ensuring Building Codes and ADA (American Disabilities Act) requirements are met
Coordinate with Daily Operations Team Lead regarding construction projects for move/staff relocations
Assist with drawings for furniture reconfigurations
Prepare drawings and update CAFM database for upgrades
Tour floors and note any maintenance that will be required by the various trades
Required Skills and Qualifications

Business/Technical diploma or related degree (i.e. Interior Design)
Minimum 4 years in a Facilities Design role
Minimum 4 years using AutoCAD
Strong knowledge of National and Alberta Building Code

Nice to Have Qualifications
FMP/CFM Certification
Previous experience with FMInteract
Previous experience using REVIT
