The Opportunity

Our Southside client is embarking on a digital transformation initiative and is looking to bring on Data Architect to lead system architecture. This role the research of new technologies and methodologies with the goal to empower employees and clients, while also scaling up services. Key to this position is having experience designing for complex business systems that are used both operationally and by customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with similar digital transformation strategy projects, strong experience in systems with BI functionality and strong leadership skills in introducing best practices.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Review current architecture from scalability, integrity, accessibility, and security perspectives
  • Oversee core data technology (data modeling, database design, SQL, data visualization, working with unstructured data, data warehousing, BI)
  • Provide vision and oversight of Data Management
  • Create and implement architecture technical guidance, design patterns, standards, and collaborate with stakeholders in the development and evaluation of data architecture-compliant technical solutions
  • Work closely with stakeholder on overall data management, data governance, and relating quality, security and analytical options
  • Keep current on data management trends and introduce best practices, standards and regulations as these change

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion of related university program; Masters preferred
  • TOGAF certification
  • Core technology background (in areas such as data modeling, database design, SQL, data visualization, working with unstructured data, data warehousing)
  • 8+ years Data Architecture and implementation experience
  • Strong experience presenting to cross functional business unit groups and leaders; excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with all levels of personnel in an organization
  • Proven ability to design and review system functionality, process, and architecture at a technical and business level

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual compensation up to $105,000 (depending upon experience)
  • A comprehensive benefits package will be provided
