Looking for an experienced individual to take on the role of being a Debt Relief Specialist!

The Opportunity

This position requires the right candidate who shows passion for providing hope and relief to people struggling with Debt. The ability to provide outstanding knowledge and support in the complete experience for the Debtor. You must have the desire to take strenuous efforts towards exceptional customer service through building strong relationships, using knowledge base support, leading change, driving results and seeing the positive impact of one’s efforts. Solution focussed towards the primary goal of identifying debt issues and helping find a plan to which will leave the Debtor feeling a sense of relief and well taken care of in such a difficult situation.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Handles incoming calls that are brought in by the Triage Team or returns calls of the Debtor who have contacted them directly.
  • Collect and identify Debtor needs and clarifies information.
  • Follows up debtor calls or emails where necessary.
  • Delivers quality and timely debtor service on a day-to-day basis.
  • Schedule required tasks in an operationally structured environment.
  • Provides quick and efficient information to debtors re: solutions and/or alternatives.
  • Follows due diligence i.e. verifies information, calculations, etc.
  • Documents all Debtor information according to BSI’s Best Practices.
  • Identifies and escalates opportunities to Team Leader.
  • Utilizes expert resource in the Team Lead and Manager, Insolvency Solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of relevant work experience in either insolvency, credit counseling, finance, banking or legal.
  • Results driven; previous experience in a sales environment delivering excellent customer experience while achieving or exceeding targets; solution-oriented.
  • Knowledge of personal financial products such as RRSPs, pensions, RESPs, car loans, and mortgages.
  • Oral fluency in English; ability to speak a second language is an asset
  • Required to work flexible hours during evenings and weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Works within a team setting (independently and collaboratively).
  • Uses guidelines to make decisions and seeks Team Leader input when dealing with ambiguity or complex issues.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose and recommend solutions within the context of given rules.
