Debt Relief Specialist: Focused on helping an ever-greater number of Canadians find the right solution for their debt problems.

The Opportunity

This position requires the right candidate who shows passion for providing hope and relief to people struggling with Debt. The ability to provide outstanding knowledge and support in the complete experience for the Debtor. You must have the desire to take strenuous efforts towards exceptional customer service through building strong relationships, using knowledge base support, leading change, driving results and seeing the positive impact of one’s efforts.  Solution focused towards the primary goal of identifying debt issues and helping find a plan to which will leave the Debtor feeling a sense of relief and well taken care of in such a difficult situation.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Conducts telephone consultations with individuals seeking debt relief by connecting with clients and normalizing the conversation regarding debt.
  • Identifies individual needs, gathers and verifies information.
  • Exercises judgment to diagnose and recommend solutions.
  • Delivers a compassionate client-centric experience.
  • Delivers quality and timely service on a day-to-day basis.
  • Works within a team setting (independently and collaboratively).

    Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 2 or more years of relevant work experience in either insolvency, credit counseling, finance, banking or legal
  • Results driven; previous experience in a sales environment delivering excellent customer experience while achieving or exceeding targets; solution-oriented.
  • Knowledge of personal financial products such as RRSPs, pensions, RESPs, car loans, and mortgages.
  • Oral fluency in English; ability to speak a second language is an asset
  • Required to work flexible hours during evenings and weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Works within a team setting (independently and collaboratively).
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose and recommend solutions within the context of given rules.
