Looking for a confident self-starter in the Fort McMurray area who has in-depth knowledge of the oil sands industry!

The Opportunity

Our client located in Fort McMurray is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to join their team for a temporary 6-month contract. This is a part-time position where you will be working 8 hours per day, 4 days a week. Please note, this is not a fly-in fly-out position, you must be a local resident of Fort McMurray.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Calendar management, coordination of travel arrangements and accommodations.
  • Participate in Executive meetings including preparing meeting minutes and creating meeting agendas.
  • Create, edit and proofread all correspondence, reports and presentations.
  • Responsible for handling all media enquiries
  • Coordinate industry tours for visitors.
  • Assist with company wide communications, such as updating the website and preparing newsletters.
  • Monitor budget and manage invoicing.
  • Other related duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in a related role.
  • Advanced MS Office skills, strong writing and proofreading abilities.
  • Comfortable working alone and with minimal supervision.
  • Must be familiar with the Fort McMurray area and surrounding oil sands.
  • Experience with office moves/relocation an asset.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills to deal with board of directors, senior management teams, staff and the general public.
  • Previous experience in governance and non-profit sector is an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Position will pay an hourly rate in the range of $23.00 – $25.00.
