The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a strong General Manager to plan, direct, and implement the day-to-day warehouse operations of all site locations and cross dock facilities in Edmonton.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Manage the day-to-day warehouse operation of all site locations and cross dock facilities.
  • Develop procedures for operating and managing physical facilities, human resources, and equipment.
  • Ensure timely resolution on quality assurance issues, overages, shortages, and damaged freight.
  • Maintain equipment and services to assure security of customer and company asset.
  • Create and maintain strong KPI’s, ensure on-time delivery goals are met.
  • Hire, train and mentor cross-dock personnel.
  • Provides timely and appropriate performance reviews to all warehouse staff.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate programs to ensure that all safety and housekeeping standards and objectives are met minimizing accidents.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Logistics/Supply Chain is preferred.
  • Warehouse/Distribution and Logistics Management experience is required.
  • Strong management experience within logistics, distribution, and/or warehousing is required.
  • Fuel/Lubrication experience is preferred.
  • Oil and Gas industry experience is considered an asset.
