Great opportunity available in Nisku! Our client is looking for an HR Generalist for a 3-month contract! There is a possibility of this role becoming permanent!

The Opportunity

Reporting to the HR Team Lead, you will act as the main point of contact for employees/managers regarding any HR related questions. The successful candidate must have strong communication skills, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and can effectively problem solve.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Full-cycle recruitment including pre-screening, interviewing, conducting reference checks and new-hire onboarding.
  • Primary liaison between employees/managers regarding career development, performance management and other employee relations matters.
  • Conduct internal and external investigations and respond to grievances.
  • Work closely with the union workforce regarding any issues.
  • Responsible for benefits and payroll administration.
  • Participates in organizational development, succession development activities, and policy and procedure development.
  • Collaborate with the HR Team to assist in the facilitation of new program roll-outs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Min 5-7 years of related HR experience; preferably in the Construction or Oil and Gas industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources is an asset
  • Previous experience working in a unionized environment
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Hourly wage varies based on experience.
