Our well-established west-side client is adding to their team! They are seeking an HR Generalist with direct experience in a unionized environment!

The Opportunity

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Plan staff meetings.
  • Liaise with department team leads to coordinate internal staff communication.
  • Communicate with managers to update job descriptions and analyze the needs for recruitment of new staff.
  • Provide support in the investigation of grievances and/or employee issues and offer recommendations on appropriate action on individual employee performance issues.
  • Review and continually develop new staff policies by researching assigned topics and providing recommendations for action.
  • Manage benefits programs and provide employee relations support to staff as required.
  • Participate in Occupational Health and Safety, WCB and Disability Management.
  • Present ongoing input into the development and delivery of a comprehensive employee on-boarding program.
  • Implement the delivery of an off-boarding process and program.
  • Provide support in professional development and training programs

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-5 years working in a related role with emphasis on labor relations.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Post secondary education in a related field.
  • Strong communication, consultation, coaching and conflict management skills.
