We have partnered with one of the most successful and largest contractors in Alberta in their search for an experienced Human Resource Coordinator!

The Opportunity

Based in west Edmonton, the successful applicant will be tasked with attracting, retaining and developing talented, motivated employees. To succeed you must have strong communication and organizational skills in addition to being detail orientated.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Partner with employees and management to create a problem solving and value-based positive work culture.
  • Ensure company wide compliance of all employment, human rights and industry specific standards and legislation.
  • Full cycle recruitment including new employee orientation and yearly evaluations.
  • Counsel management on queries and union-related matters.
  • Plan company wide events.
  • Other general HR tasks as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience in a similar Human Resource related role.
  • Knowledge of current employment laws and human rights legislation.
  • Experience with employee training development ideal.
  • Experience in a union based environment an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, business or related discipline is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Strong research skills.
  • A positive, team-focused attitude.

Compensation

  • Annual salary in the range of $50,000 – $60,000 based on experience.
