The Opportunity

As an industry leader, providing metal, steel and custom fabrication, our client continues to grow its well-established sales department. We are searching for an energetic, self-motivated individual looking to further develop an exciting and challenging career for an industry leader. A very intriguing position is available for Inside Sales Account Manager to work in a positive, high energy sales environment. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Selling metal and/or steel including components for construction and fabrication.
  • Proactively or reactively responding to clients by phone, fax and e-mail.
  • Creating quotes, follow ups, negotiating contracts, customer issues.
  • Creating work order, working with other depts. on project management.
  • Expediting critical orders through the shop.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Materials Engineering Diploma/Degree or Relevant Post-Secondary Education would be considered an asset.
  • Successful inside sales career of a minimum of 4 years, in steel and metal application (manufacturing, welding, fabrication or construction.)
  • Welding and/or fabrication shop experience.
  • Proven mathematical aptitude, capable of reading construction drawings PC computer background.
  • Must have strong technical and math skills, while being outgoing.
  • Well-developed organizationally, with attention to detail and being self-motivated.
  • Honest, with a focus on customer service excellence.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary of $60k-75k per year.
  • Paid overtime, Profit sharing.
  • Group RRSP with company matching, life insurance, medical and dental benefits, premiums 100 % paid by employer.
