A great distribution INSIDE SALES team needs YOUR Valve expertise!

The Opportunity

One of Canada’s fastest growing valve team needs a Senior Inside Sales person. You must have years of experience in valves world focused on distribution. In addition to potentially being a technical mentor, you will be responsible for the more detailed quotes for their most important distribution clients. Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Prepare and present technical quotes for the distribution channel.
  • Application, sizing and selection of Gates, Globes, Knife, Butterfly, Check, Control and other types of Valves
  • Proactively manage communications between customers, engineers, outside sales and manufacturers to ensure completion of orders correctly and on time.
  • Review in detail the RFQ and the applicable industry standards and provide answers to technical questions, insuring proposed products are compliant with the project and customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with team on large or complex quotations and proposals.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Prepare sales order work sheets, draft purchase orders, technical submittal packages, and manuals when required.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, clarifying information and providing timely technical product support and spearhead any customer resolution issues.
  • Actively research competition and utilizing smart pricing decisions and selling techniques.
  • Pro-actively promote and sell all company products in order to achieve revenue and margin growth objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degreediploma in a Mechanical or Chemical Engineering discipline preferred or equivalent valve work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 successful years of experience in the valve industry with strong inside or outside sales exposure focused on distribution.
  • Proven ability to read and understand specifications.
  • Strong application, selection, sizing, quote preparation and presentation skills with a focus on “world class” customer service!
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, team building abilities with a great drive to contribute individually with excellence.
  • Well-developed communication skills with the ability to promote ideas and explain detailed technical knowledge clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Effective time management, organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously learn and improve and the willingness to adapt to change.
  • Hands-on and can-do attitude.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary of $65,000-$80,000 per year.
  • Progressive bonus of up to 20%, might be available for the right experience.
  • RRSP matching with a comprehensive benefit package, including prescription and vision.
