The Opportunity

YYC – we are working with a Calgary client in search of a QA professional!

The successful individual will be comfortable working in all aspects of software delivery on scalable applications with an emphasis on build/test automation, have experience creating and executing Java, SOA, and Ruby tests, as well as have experience with REST APIs.  The company culture promotes fun, a cohesive working atmosphere, challenging work tasks, and team events!

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Working to create and maintain test cases.
  • Working to create and maintain automated SOA, Ruby, & Java tests.
  • Tracking and reporting test results.
  • Diligent documentation.
  • Clearly communicating within your team and to your direct report.
  • Working in an Agile environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Technical Degree or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience.
  • Experience creating and maintaining test cases.
  • Experience working in an Automated testing environment.
  • Experience executing SOA, Ruby, and Java tests.
  • Experience with source code management systems such as Git.
  • Experience with Automated builds, continuous integration, and unit testing.
  • Experience with REST APIs – specifically the Java API.
  • Experience testing scalable web applications.
  • Experience writing SQL scripts.
  • Experience building test suites and completing a test matrix.
