Junior Accountant

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • File GST/HST returns.
  • Perform financial analysis as required for various balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
  • Reconcile fixed assets.
  • Prepare journal entries.
  • Process cash applications.
  • Reconcile monthly intercompany entries.
  • Assist in corporate tax filings.
  • Review and adjust foreign exchanges differences.
  • Various other jobs as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum five years working experience with progressive financial responsibility.
  • Three years of full cycle accounting experience.
  • University degree or college diploma in accounting or business administration.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and internal control principles.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamics or CRM software an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexible to work periodic weekends and evenings.
