One of the World’s great providers of rotating equipment, pumps, components and related products has a great opportunity in its Technical Sales and Support team in Fort McMurray, for a Key ACCOUNT MANAGER.
This an integral role to the success of the company’s market penetration strategy in the oil sands. You will have the responsibility of managing the relationship of a major end-user, integrating their needs and strategies with the Service Center activities with a focus on client service, and technical excellence.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions Develop and implement sales plan the integrated with the strategic rotating plan of your client, at site, to grow the business profitably. Meet and/or exceed the sales plan for repairs, service, parts and complete machines. Assist in profitably, meeting customer needs by being a responsive liaison between with your client, on matters relating to pumps repairs, upgrades, new unit applications and spare parts. Manage the proposal process and develop strategies to ensure we make the most competitive technical and commercial offerings. Support Management in the settlement of warranty disputes and field problems. Deepen relationships with the client, at multiple levels, to ensure continued influence. Routinely report activities to Management on all pertinent issues related to market changes through use of monthly forecast and other reports. Actively participate in and provide input into the product development teams and support their initiatives. Communicate effectively with plant, engineering, customer service, and other personnel to ensure objectives are achieved. Mentor the team to ensure the culture is one of continuous improvement, reflecting with client interaction. Support root-cause analysis on warranty returns and work with customers to implement modifications to resolve field issues. Account guidance, advice and training to reduce costs and improve reliability. Support and help grow sales by providing solutions, technical support, advice and guidance on equipment on site. Provide training or coordination of training, recommendations and presentation of new products. Work with the worldwide engineering team in trouble shooting, product applications/selection solutions and quotations. On-going Client Service follow-up on complaint resolutions. Follow-up on, and support the project through departmental process; Engineering, Purchasing, Assembly, Manufacturing, service, parts and replacement to ensure delivery and quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications Mechanical Engineering degree or technical certification. Proven track record of a minimum of 5 years of Applications, Engineering and/or Sales, in rotating equipment, pumps, mechanical seals, or similar disciplines. Must have exposure or experience in the field solving technical issues. Demonstrated ability to read detailed drawings and technical documents. Driven by customer service excellence, goal-oriented with an infectious positive attitude. Evolved interpersonal verbal, written and listening skills. Experience in Pump Aftermarket Sales is an advantage. Must be able to be a team player with exceptional relationship building skills with both external and internal partners. Proactive, self-starter with a hands-on approach to solving problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Compensation and Benefits Base salary of $110k- $135,000 or more commensurate with experience Substantial North Living allowance Truck provided, and expenses covered Bonus of up to 10% or more Great medical and benefits plan including an aggressive matching retirement plan
