Great permanent opportunity for a Legal Assistant with experience in Intellectual Property (Patents)!

The Opportunity

If you have direct hands-on experience with Intellectual properties and don’t mind the downtown commute, we may have the role for you!

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Handling the entire process of Domestic Shipments and Product Imports.
  • Preparation of intellectual property correspondence to patent offices across North America.
  • Liaising and building a rapport with foreign associates and clients. Also responsible for invoicing.
  • Document control using a manual and electronic filing system.
  • Assisting with maintenance/updating of limitation diary system.
  • Other clerical/administrative duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Min 2-3 years’ experience in a legal assistant role.
  • Experience in Intellectual Property Law with a specialty in patents is essential.
  • Graduate from an accredited Legal Assistant program.
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS office.
