Legal Litigation Administrative Assistant – Maternity Leave Contract

The Opportunity

Our Calgary client is eager to find a Legal Litigation Administrative Assistant for their boutique firm. If you have 10 years of litigation experience and enjoy a fast-paced environment this could be the role for you!

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Drafting; correspondence, pleadings, bills of cost, service letters
  • Proofreading and editing
  • Dicta-typing
  • Scheduling and calendar management
  • Travel arrangements
  • Client invoicing
  • Online searches
  • Booking trials and long chambers applications
  • Communications between clients and opposing counsel
  • Prepare applications records from the materials filed

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Legal Assistant Diploma
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience preferred
  • Experience using PC Law and Eclipse would be considered an asset
  • Strong MS Office and typing skills
  • Polished and professional
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable
  • Must work well with tight deadlines
