Are you a hands-on Mechanical Estimator with wastewater and water treatment experience, who is looking to set roots in a busy organization?
The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Estimator to strengthen their established team. The Mechanical Estimator will act as an effective liaison between multiple stakeholders, utilizing concepts of continuous improvement, and using their expertise to assist the team in meeting established business goals; from budget and estimating to contract letting and planning.
Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Determine scope definition and clarification.
  • Develop labour and material cost estimates.
  • Complete preliminary project schedules.
  • Prepare RFP document control & distribution.
  • Manage pre-construction planning and control estimate development and delivery.
  • Prepare & price job overhead costs for tenders.
  • Draw up bill of material and quantity take-offs.
  • Perform pre-bid tender site visits and participate in tender closings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as an Estimator.
  • Engineering Degree or Diploma, Mechanical trade or related education and background.
  • Wastewater and water treatment experience is preferred.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary is dependent on experience.
