An experienced Office Manager is required for a small not for profit office in Edmonton! Working closely with the Executive Director in a casual, collaborative environment you will be responsible for the following:

The Opportunity

Our client located in west Edmonton requires an experienced Office Manager to join their team. Working closely with the Executive Director of a not for profit organization with ties to the agricultural field, you will be responsible for the following:

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Act as main point of contact for members and board
  • Prepare and manage operational calendar for the organization
  • Data entry into various in house and government databases
  • Document preparation
  • Special event planning; annual general meetings, workshops and convention
  • Agenda development, meeting organization, minute taking
  • Responsible for overall management of monthly member publication; sourcing content, intake of classified ads, etc.
  • Assist with basic accounting tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Familiarity with Simply Accounting an asset
  • Proven event management
  • Experience working for a Board of Directors (preferably in a non-profit or agricultural setting)
  • High organizational skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Ability to adapt and show initiative
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual salary in the range of $45,000 – $50,000. Please not that this position offers the flexibility to work from home on occasion. Hours of work are flexible with the busy period of late August to end of December.
