The Opportunity

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the territory sales representative will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing accounts and for prospecting for new business opportunities. The established territory is Northern Alberta.

Key Account Responsibilities and Functions

  • Develop existing account base and position products in order to assist the customer with solutions that best suits their needs.
  • Target new and clientele by identifying prospective accounts, to grow market share and be the relationship manager to your assigned account base, provide post-sales service.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Several years of sales experience, preferably in the Electrical industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related major is preferred.
  • Must have a record of success in cold calling, qualifying leads, positioning value-added services and closing business.
  • Must have exceptional presentation skills.
  • Must have the ability to travel a minimum of 1 week per month.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to be available to attend various customer events on evenings/weekends.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships at various levels, with customers and vendors.
  • Ability to work with Inside Sales Reps to target potential customers.
  • Ability to develop business plans to grow your business fully and implement the plan utilizing available resources.
  • Exceptional skills in developing clients and maintaining vendor relationships.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and self motivation.
  • Competency in Sales Management Systems and Microsoft Office or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be fast paced, goal-oriented individual who can provide world-class service to our customers.
  • Must be able to learn products, sales processes, and systems.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary of $65000 + quarterly commissions should equal $100K in 1st year.
  • Company vehicle & gas card supplied.
